Windows XP running on a MacBook with Boot Camp.
Google Chrome is lightning fast but until it is as expandable (and ironically wont run as fast with all the add-ons), I'll be using Firefox 3.04.

2. Post the first line or two from the first 30 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
3. Let everyone guess what song and artist the lines come from.
4. Strike out the songs when someone guesses correctly.
5. Choose some to upload and share when all are guessed!
( I had to skip through so many instrumentals... )
Don't all rush in with the Bohemian Rhapsody one. Most of the others happen to be of a similar difficulty to get. \o/
Drop cubes to create coloured isometric art. Completely pointless but addictive - but that can be said for a lot of the internets.

As
Some men and women are born great, some achieve greatness and some slit the throats of any scalawag who stands between them and unlimited power. You never met a man - or woman - you couldn't eviscerate. You are the definitive Man of Action, the CEO of the Seven Seas, Lee Iacocca in a blousy shirt and drawstring-fly pants. You’re mission-oriented, and if anyone gets in the way, that’s his problem, now isn’t? Your buckle was swashed long ago and you have never been so sure of anything as your ability to bend everyone to your will. You will call anyone out and cut off his head if he shows any sign of taking you on or backing down. If one of your lieutenants shows an overly developed sense of ambition he may find more suitable accommodations in Davy Jones' locker. That is, of course, IF you notice him. You tend to be self absorbed - a weakness that may keep you from seeing enemies where they are and imagining them where they are not.

This amateur advert was on BBC Breakfast this morning. Very minimalist word setting. For all its laughability and thanks to the internets, it'll probably be one of the most successful adverts of all time. Be thankful that the Halifax adverts don't go on for over 2 minutes.

The weather turned and was brilliant for nearly all the week. I'm kind of sad that I have to go back to work now that the weather's much better. I hope it isn't just a blip in the summer washout.

As the title of the post suggests, I wanted to finish it in the weekend because I was getting very paranoid about inadvertently seeing spoilers wherever I'd go. It seems that, possibly it being the biggest hyped book of all time, there are certain arses who would rather ruin it for anyone with an ounce of interest about what happens in the end. I don't know if they get much out of it in return. Shutting myself off from civilisation for this weekend and ploughing through it was the best approach.
No doubt regular book readers (I'm not one of them at all and will only read things like this because the rest of the world are doing so), possibly some of you reading this, have finished it in 8 hours flat. BBC Breakfast on Saturday morning already promised reviews which I promptly turned off the TV to. I can say that I agree with Rowling's opinion that (as a whole) it is probably the best out of the series.

Before I could even identify myself as having geeky tendencies at the age of 8, it was probably at its highest around this time. I can put it squarely down to the programmes that were on around 1990-92. ( some of the childhood programmes I remembered ) Can you sense a theme yet?
( I have the unofficial DVD recordings of Knightmare! Woot! ) I feel that, in getting the DVDs, the geeky bagage of my childhood has been rekindled after many years of dormancy and it could be a bad thing. Sure I've grown out of it somewhat and my interest in nature and the outdoors goes against it all (or are there certain ties?). A healthy balance between one extreme of geekery and the other extreme (that I don't identify with but feel I should be) is probably the key.
I might make some LJ userpics from the DVDs if I get bored enough. I'd be happy to hear what you thought of the programmes I mentioned and if you have similar memories.
